Dr. David Moinester was born and raised in New York. Upon graduation from Brooklyn College, Dr. Moinester attended the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating in 1978, Dr. Moinester moved to Memphis for his surgical residency at what is now Baptist Germantown Surgery Center.

Upon entering private practice in 1979, Dr. Moinester became very involved in his profession. From 1981-1083 he served as Director of Podiatric Surgical Residency Program at Memphis Eye and Ear Hospital. From 1984-85, he served as Vice-president and President of the Memphis Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Moinester has served as Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee at Baptist Germantown Surgery Center as well as Chairman of the Podiatry Department. Dr. Moinester has achieved Diplomat status in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review. Governor McWherter appointed Dr. Moinester to the Board of Podiatry Examiners for the state of Tennessee.

Podiatry Centers of Memphis was founded in 1985. At that time, Raleigh-Bartlett Podiatry, East Memphis Podiatry and Midtown Podiatry Associates merged forming the largest Podiatry practice in the Mid South.
